Kenny Chesney appears to be in a philosophical mood as he celebrates the start of 2025, with the ‘Take Her Home’ crooner penning a heartfelt New Year's Day message to fans.

2024 marked a momentous year for Chesney, with the ‘Summertime’ hitmaker releasing his first new album since 2020, the widely lauded BORN, which has spawned fan-favourites such as ‘Top Down’, ‘Just To Say We Did’, ‘One More Sunset’ and the title-track.

In addition, Kenny Chesney packed out stadiums across the US, performing with Zac Brown Band, Megan Moroney and Uncle Kracker as part of his sprawling Sun Goes Down tour.

Kenny Chesney has remained tight-lipped regarding whether fans can look forward to another summer tour in 2025 in his new post, but it's become tradition for Chesney to deliver stadium runs every other year, with smaller, more intimate tours in-between, so we're hoping he plots a few amphitheater dates for later this year.

Taking to socials on New Year's Day, the multi-year Entertainer of the Year has shared, “Think I’ll sit right here. Pray for a peaceful year. Lots of love and happy holidays to you from Blue Chair Bay”, referencing his island-themed 2004 ballad, ‘Old Blue Chair’, which in turn inspired his popular, tropically-minded brand of Blue Chair Bay Rum.

On Christmas Day, Kenny Chesney delivered a similarly touching holiday tribute with the lyrics to his beloved festive anthem, ‘Christmas in Blue Chair Bay’, “Everybody raise a glass with me right now. To all of those up in the snow and all of us down south. Tis the season for believing in faith and family….Wish you were here with me, by the sea, a little numb from drinking rum….Merry Christmas everybody. KC”.

This week, Megan Moroney has offered fans a keepsake from the Sun Goes Down tour, releasing a live version of her current Country Radio single, ‘Am I Okay?’ with Kenny Chesney.

With the weather turning frostier and many of us looking longingly back at our 2024 summer holiday photos, Kenny Chesney's sun-soaked discography is offering warmth to many listeners as they battle the urge to sink their savings into a Winter island getaway.

As a result, although we were only treated to a stellar new album from Kenny Chesney back in March, we're nonetheless hoping he follows a similar rollout to 2020's Here and Now by keeping the feel-good summer vibes going through the rain and snow, and releasing an expanded deluxe version of BORN in the coming months.
