Post Malone has officially postponed his two London shows this weekend due to the Transport For London Underground strikes, with the ‘I Had Some Help’ hitmaker originally set to headline Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on September 7th and 8th.
The genre-blurring maverick will now be taking the stage at the home of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club on Saturday, September 20th and Sunday, September 21st instead, with all existing tickets remaining valid for the rescheduled dates.
In an official statement, Live Nation has confirmed, “We're sorry to announce that, due to planned strikes on the London Underground, we've been forced to reschedule the two Post Malone concerts at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Without a Tube service, it's impossible to get people to the concert and home again safely, and therefore no event licence can be granted for the nights of 7th and 8th September”. The TFL strikes will render the Underground out of action for most of next week.
The statement continues, “Any ticket holders who are unable to attend their rescheduled show can get a full refund on their ticket, and are requested to contact their point of purchase before Monday 8th September 10am BST. You will receive a refund to your original method of payment with 14-21 days depending on your bank's processing time. Any returned tickets will be put on general sale at 10am BST on Tuesday 9th September, exclusively via Ticketmaster”.
It's undoubtedly frustrating news for fans looking forward to seeing Post Malone and Jelly Roll take the stage in London this weekend, with the duo's Big Ass Stadium Tour continuing to cement itself as one of the most exciting runs of the year.
Earlier in the week, Post surprised fans in Paris, France with a momentous duet with Chris Stapleton. They performed their much-loved 2024 collaboration, ‘California Sober’.
