Post Malone treated his packed-out home-state crowd to the live debut of his new Morgan Wallen collaboration, ‘I Ain't Comin’ Back’, at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The infectious duet arrived on April 17th, appears on Wallen's forthcoming studio album, I'm the Problem, which drops this Friday (May 16th). It marks the second collaboration between the chart-topping duo, after 2024's smash hit, ‘I Had Some Help’.
Thankfully, Post also performed ‘I Ain't Comin‘ Back’ at his follow-up show in Atlanta, Georgia, which suggests the star-studded duet is now a staple of his 2025 setlist.
Amusingly, when introducing the live debut in Arlington, Post Malone warmly teased, “There's a beautiful moustachioed man by the name of Morgan Wallen. We made a song together a long time ago, but he just put it out...and hopefully I f***ing remember the lyrics and hopefully someone here knows this f***ing song. And if you do, please feel free to sing it as loud as you f***ing can. It's called ‘I Ain't Comin’ Back’”.
The baleful, undulating ambience of ‘I Ain't Comin’ Back’ allows Post Malone to showcase his stellar vibrato, with the ‘Wow.’ hitmaker capturing the intimate feel of the studio version.
Elsewhere during both of this week's Texas tour-stops on Post Malone's Big Ass Stadium Tour, the genre-blending maverick brought out his two openers, Jelly Roll and Sierra Ferrell, for enchanting renditions of ‘Losers’ and ‘Never Love You Again’ respectively. Both tracks appear on Post's lauded 2024 country album, F-1Trillion.
In Atlanta, Georgia, Post surprised the crowd with blockbuster link-ups with 21 Savage for ‘rockstar’ and Quavo for ‘Congratulations’, two electric hits from his rap-leaning era.
Nonetheless, the set remains decidedly country, with Post Malone even giving earlier fan-favourites such as ‘White Iverson’ and ’Circles’ a twang-laden and steel-drenched revamp. Next, Post heads to Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri tomorrow (May 12th), before joining forces again with Morgan Wallen for the latter's inaugural Sand in My Boots Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama across May 16-18th. We suspect Post and Wallen might be gearing up to perform ‘I Ain't Comin’ Back’ together for the first time during the sun-soaked country extravaganza.
