Post Malone pulled out all the stops during his explosive headline set during Weekend Two of Coachella 2025, with the ’I Had Some Help’ hitmaker treating the packed-out Indio, California crowd to two surprise duets with Jelly Roll and Ed Sheeran.

Fans had been suspecting that Jelly Roll, who is due to headline Coachella's country sibling, Stagecoach, next week at the same festival grounds, might have arrived in the California desert a little early so that he could join forces with his buddy, Post Malone.

The duo are heading out on the road together later this year as part of Post's Big Ass Stadium Tour, and their endearing friendship radiated throughout their heartfelt joint rendition of ‘Losers’, taken from Post's lauded 2024 country album, F-1Trillion.

Post Malone's decision to bring out ‘Shape of You’ singer-songwriter, Ed Sheeran, however, was far less expected, with the audience greeting this star-studded link-up with a chorus of bemused cheers. Sheeran had been hosting his Old Phone Pub pop-up stage earlier in the evening, with the British phenom also teaming up with Shaboozey elsewhere during the blockbuster final day of Coachella 2025.

Ed Sheeran joined Post Malone for an electrifying take on the latter's ‘Sunflower’, the first song to ever be certified Double-Diamond. With Sheeran tending to prefer acoustic, stripped-back arrangements that revolve around his signature loop-pedal, he gave his portion of ‘Sunflower’ a strikingly sparser, intricate feel.

The duo grinned at each other as they reeled off the iconic anthem, knowing they had created a piece of Coachella history. Ed Sheeran contiues to tease a foray into the country music world, having penned a slew of hits for the likes of Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and Kelsea Ballerini and performing at Nashville's Tootsie's Bar and the legendary Bluebird Café with Megan Moroney in March.

More recently, the prolific artist confirmed on the Call Her Daddy podcast that his ultimate mission is to transition into country. His latest single, ’Azizam’, sticks to the uptempo, pop-infused sound of his 2021 = (Equals) album, and suggests that his next record, Play, will not find him venturing into country music just yet.

We're hoping that this spellbinding duet with Post Malone might convince him to hurry up his move into the genre - and that at the very least, Ed Sheeran and Post having a collaboration up their sleeves, potentially for the latter's next country record.
