In honour of the 25th anniversary of its original release, Pernice Brothers’ debut album, Overcome By Happiness, is being remastered into a special deluxe edition.
The new version will be made available on May 19, exactly 25 years after it was first released on May 19, 1998.
The twelve original tracks have been given a new sheen by John Golden, with thirteen additional bonus songs also being added for the 25th Anniversary special edition.
This extra LP will include eight home demos recorded by the Pernice Brothers’ frontman, Joe Pernice, while creating Overcome By Happiness.
These demos have never before seen the light of day, and will no doubt be prized by fans of the iconic group.
The special deluxe release will see Overcome By Happiness being made available on vinyl for the first time, with the original, remastered record and the bonus LP being packaged up into a 52-page book.
The book is set to be a Pernice Brothers aficionado's dream, with a sprawling set of liner notes written by music journalist, Stephen Deusner, a track-by-track description by Joe Pernice himself and the full lyrics to Overcome By Happiness.
Also included in the book is a selection of unpublished photos and a print signed by Joe Pernice.
The Pernice Brothers’ new release, Overcome by Happiness: 25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition, is currently available for pre-order via New West Records.
