Kenny Chesney has offered fans a little more insight into what they can expect from his blockbuster Sphere Las Vegas residency, which kicks off in just over two months’ time.

In an official statement, the ’No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems’ hitmaker has explained that he has ensured there's space for the special Sandbar standing section - which has become a staple of his live shows over the years - in the immersive Vegas venue.

Kenny Chesney explains, I can’t forget the most hardcore, which is why we’ve got a Sandbar on the floor. No holds barred, it’s like stadiums without the other bands, the wait or weather”.

Chesney expands on why the Sandbar, which is often filled with his most avid supporters, is so crucial to his set, “I know this is a whole other way to play live. But that doesn’t mean we don’t feed like vampires off that energy down front. Everything the people in the Sandbar give us, we turn right around and put into the music. There’s a connection there that’s unlike any other. And when we look down, see everybody singing along, rocking out or dancing, it drives us to another level”.

Excitingly, Kenny Chesney has also revealed that the opener for his Sphere Las Vegas shows will be DJ Brandi Cyrus, who dropped a viral remix of Lainey Wilson's ‘Wildflowers and Wild Horses’ last year and has performed at an array of high-profile festivals.

Chesney underlines why Cyrus is the perfect choice for the Sphere, “I wanted to make it about music, but I didn’t just want to throw a band up there. With the space on the floor - no chairs, no sun beating down - what could we do to transform what we do somewhere else? What could be better than a DJ to get the dancing started early?”

In addition, the ‘Just To Say We Did’ singer-songwriter has teased that he'll be introducing some unexpected duets and one-off setlist inclusions, “And we’re going to leave room in each show to create a couple special moments that will be unique to that night. Maybe it’s a surprise guest, a song we will only play that specific night, but I’ve been blessed with an amazing group of friends, songs and players, so why not make each night something really individual for No Shoes Nation?”

We'll be keeping our fingers crossed that the Knoxville legend decides to join forces with his 2024 Sun Goes Down tour-mate, Megan Moroney, for some of his Sphere Las Vegas shows, with Moroney seemingly hinting at her involvement earlier in the year. Either way, the sense of anticipation ahead of Kenny Chesney's 15-show run remains sky-high, as we count down the days until May 22nd.
