Morgan Wallen's I'm the Problem has returned to the pinnacle of the Billboard 200, with the Sneedville megastar's latest album spending its ninth non-consecutive week at No. 1.
In doing so, Wallen's 37-track opus overtakes Tyler, The Creator's surprise release, DON'T TAP THE GLASS, which temporarily displaced I'm the Problem at the top spot last week.
I'm the Problem amasses 143,000 equivalent album units during the week concluding July 31st - an impressive feat, given the record was released almost three months ago.
It marks the ‘Love Somebody’ singer-songwriter's 38th week at No. 1 across his four studio albums so far, with One Thing At A Time notching a whopping 19 weeks at the peak, after Dangerous spent 10 weeks at the top of the chart a couple of years earlier.
This means Wallen now has the fifth-highest tally of weeks spent at No. 1 among male artists on the prestigious all-genre chart. He trails Elton John by just one week, as well as Michael Jackson (51 weeks), Garth Brooks (52) and Elvis Presley (67).
By racking up his 38th combined week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, Wallen overtakes his good friend, Drake, as well as calypso legend, Harry Belafonte, who both sit on 37.
Some fans suspect the country titan might be about to help Drake extend his own tally by featuring on the rapper's eagerly anticipated new album, Iceman. Drake appeared alongside Wallen for his recent pre-show walk-out in Houston, Texas, and there have been rumblings of a collaboration ever since their surprise link-up for the former's ‘You Broke My Heart’ music video back in December 2023.
Elsewhere in the Top Ten, Tyler Childers‘ fans will be delighted to see him scoring the highest-charting album of his career with Snipe Hunter. The lauded new project surges to No. 7, after opening with 48,000 equivalent album units - a figure that was no doubt boosted by Childers making seven distinct vinyl variants available. Nonetheless, it's a colossal moment for the ‘Nose on the Grindstone’ crooner, and highlights his steady growth in popularity over the past few records.
