During his statement on the unsanctioned reissue of his 2015 EP, Stand Alone, Morgan Wallen has revealed that he'll start recording his new album towards the end of February.
The Sneedville native has today shared a revamped version of his much-loved song, ‘Spin You Around (1/24)’, to direct streams away from Stand Alone (10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition), which was made available against his wishes by his old label, Panacea Records.
As he encourages listeners to enjoy this re-recording of ‘Spin You Around (1/24)’ and avoid the eight tracks that have been added to Stand Alone, Morgan has reassured fans that they'll be getting plenty of ‘real’ new music before too long.
After detailing how the unpleasant situation with his “greedy” previous label and managers arose, Morgan Wallen offered fans some more positive news, sharing, “I begin recording my next project at the end of February”, before underlining how he's “feeling inspired creatively & super excited to make more music I'm proud of”.
The ‘Thought You Should Know’ singer-songwriter also touched on how he's donated $100,000 from his Morgan Wallen Foundation to the Volunteer Lawyers & Professionals For The Arts (VLPA) program, in order to help up-and-coming artists avoid experiencing the challenges he's faced regarding the Stand Alone re-release.
Excitingly, Morgan Wallen concluded his statement with the tantalising promise, “Trust me, when new music is ready, you'll hear it directly from me”. In his December interview with Billboard, Morgan confirmed he was reviewing songs for his keenly awaited One Thing At A Time follow-up, and if he's hitting the studio next month, then it looks like we could be getting his next project before the year is out.
