During a special, star-studded evening of tributes to Jason Aldean during Nashville's Country Radio Seminar last night (Thursday, March 19th 2026), Morgan Wallen shared a heartfelt video message honouring his friend and former tour-mate.

Aldean was one of the first artists in the mainstream country scene to co-sign Wallen when he was emerging, with the Georgia native even cutting a Wallen co-write, ‘You Make It Easy’, while the latter was still making his name as a solo artist. The track went on to become one of Aldean's biggest hits, going six-times Platinum.

As well as getting to witness a sincere homage to Aldean from Wallen, attendees at the CRS event were treated to the first joint performance from Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley in four years. The duo covered ‘You Make It Easy’, which THubb and BK penned with Wallen and Jordan Schmidt. We're keeping our fingers crossed this means a full FGL reunion is imminent.

In Wallen's video tribute, the ‘Last Night’ chart-topper reflects on discovering Aldean's music, “[I kept] all those songs on repeat and it made my time so much more enjoyable. It also made a big impression on me and my family. My dad is also a huge fan”.

He goes on, “Just to have a career sustained this amount of time and to remain genuine throughout is something to be proud of, and I think you've really embodied both of those things so I just wanted to say congratulations on this. I love you. Talk to you soon”.

Wallen and Aldean have performed together on a number of occasions, and we're still holding out hope that we'll one day get a collaboration where both appear as vocalists.

The event was honouring Aldean off the back of scoring a whopping 31 No. 1 songs, after securing his 31st with ‘How Far Does a Goodbye Go’ in February. The three-time ACM Entertainer of the Year is releasing his new album, Songs About Us, on April 24th.
