And the hits just keep on coming.
Morgan Wallen just made chart history after his July single, 'Lies, Lies, Lies', notched No. 1 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart. The latest ranking not only marks Wallen's 15th No. 1 on the chart, it is his fifth radio No. 1 this year.
According to Billboard, this is the first time, in the airplay chart's history, that an artist has notched that many No. 1s in a single year. With this new chart-topper, the 'You Proof' hitmaker officially surpasses Luke Combs and Garth Brooks, who both peaked with four No. 1s in one year.
Today, 'Lies Lies Lies' joins the Ernest-assisted 'Cowgirls', the epic Post Malone collaboration, 'I Had Some Help', 'Man Made a Bar', which featured Eric Church, and the Thomas Rhett-led duet, 'Mamaw’s House', which have all graced the top spot at least once between March and November this year.
After months of teasing the tune, Wallen officially released 'Lies, Lies, Lies' this past July; and since then, the song has become a fast favorite, drawing over a hundred million streams on Spotify and soaring up both the Hot Country and Hot 100 charts. Now, it's had the same effect across the airwaves.
In the months since its arrival, 'Lies, Lies, Lies' has already been well-road-tested on Wallen's extensive One Night At A Time tour and covered by the likes of newcomer Jessie Murph.
'Lies, Lies, Lies' is likely set to appear on a forthcoming album from the star, alongside several other recently teased tunes like wistful 'I Guess'.
