During his enchanting Roundhouse show last night (May 28th), Morgan Wallen reeled off a dizzying array of hits and stand-outs from his brilliant new album, I'm the Problem.
It served as a special evening for the Sneedville megastar's UK following, with Wallen continuing to make a conscious effort to strengthen ties with his fans across The Pond.
It's already paying off, with I'm the Problem becoming his first ever No. 1 album in the UK. To put this into context, his previous record, One Thing At A Time, peaked at No. 40.
During his momentous set, Wallen offered the audience some tidbits and easter eggs about his newly unveiled 37-track opus, with the country titan shedding light on how ‘Superman’ - which he penned for his son, Indigo - came about, as well as revealing for the first time which song on I'm the Problem is his favourite.
After treating us to a live debuts of I'm the Problem highlights such as ‘What I Want’, ‘Eyes Are Closed’, ‘20 Cigarettes’ and ’Kiss Her In Front Of You’, Morgan Wallen explained that the next song he'd be performing is the one he loves the most from the project.
Then, Wallen launched into the rowdy, patriotic ‘Don't We’, which finds the ‘Everything I Love’ singer-songwriter outlining that he's proud to be from the sticks and to stand for ‘old-school’ rural values - even if some folks don't like that kind of lifestyle.
Some fans had assumed ‘Eyes Are Closed’ was Morgan Wallen's No. 1 choice from the new album, given the fact that he previously shared this is his son's favourite song.
His revelation drew a sea of applause from the crowd, with numerous fans clearly echoing Morgan Wallen's sentiments about ’Don't We’. Alongside the HARDY-assisted ‘Come Back As A Redneck’, ‘Don't We’ is arguably one of the most traditionally ‘country’ songs on I'm the Problem, with Wallen exploring the rough-around-the-edges, electric-guitar-fuelled ambience of his earlier anthems, such as ‘Somethin’ Country’, ‘Whatcha Know ‘Bout That’, ‘Up Down’ and ‘The Way I Talk’.
This insight into ‘Don't We’ consolidated the conversational, intimate feel of Wallen's stellar Roundhouse show, with his army of loyal UK listeners now eagerly looking forward to the ‘Love Somebody’ chart-topper's promised return in 2026.
