At the Reba McEntire-hosted 2025 ACM Awards in Frisco, Texas on May 8th, Morgan Wallen will once again be vying for the most coveted accolade - Entertainer of the Year.
The ‘Love Somebody’ chart-topper has been nominated twice before for the biggest gong of the night, but is yet to triumph. With Morgan Wallen receiving a prestigious nod for 2025 ACM Entertainer of the Year in the newly unveiled list of nominations, the genre-blending maverick will be hoping that the third time is the charm. Although yet to win Entertainer of the Year, Wallen has prevailed in the 2021 ACM Album of the Year (Dangerous) and 2022 ACM Male Artist of the Year categories.
The ‘You Proof’ singer-songwriter is joined in the illustrious category by Kelsea Ballerini, who receives her first ever ACM Entertainer of the Year nomination following a blockbuster year, during which the Tennessee native dropped the lauded PATTERNS.
Completing the stellar 2025 roster of ACM Entertainer of the Year candidates is Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll, Chris Stapleton and the 2024 victor, Lainey Wilson.
While Lainey Wilson will once again be a leading contender for the gong, after Morgan Wallen was crowned 2024 CMA Entertainer of the Year in November, the Sneedville megastar will surely be heading to Frisco as the favourite to take home the trophy.
Morgan Wallen enjoyed another impressive year in 2024, with the ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’ hitmaker performing across North America and Europe as part of his One Night At A Time World Tour, which set a new record as the highest-grossing country tour in history.
In addition, Morgan Wallen secured a whopping five No. 1 singles at Country Radio, making him the only artist to ever notch this many chart-toppers in the space of a calendar year.
As a result, Wallen's case for the 2025 ACM Entertainer of the Year award is difficult to argue against. Nonetheless, it's been another incredible 12 months for country music, with each nominated artist in this category undoubtedly deserving their spot in the grouping, ensuring that - as always - this will be almost too tight to call.
Alongside this 2025 ACM Entertainer of the Year nod, Morgan Wallen has received nominations for Male Artist of the Year and Artist-Songwriter of the Year, as well as being up for Single of the Year, Song of the Year and Music Event of the Year, courtesy of Wallen's blockbuster Post Malone collaboration, ‘I Had Some Help’.
Morgan Wallen is currently gearing up to release his eagerly anticipated fourth studio album, I'm the Problem, which arrives just over a week after the 2025 ACM Awards on May 16th.
