Morgan Wallen's first full-length set of 2025, which took place at the Sneedville megastar's inaugural Sand in My Boots Festival in sunny Gulf Shores, Alabama, was one for the books.

Following explosive headline performances from Post Malone and Brooks and Dunn, the stage was set for the one we'd all been waiting for - Morgan Wallen's grand finale.

With a brand new 37-song album arriving just a couple of days before his set, attendees were keenly looking forward to seeing which of the tracks he'd be adding to his show.

After his walk-out, which oozed Morgan Wallen's trademark swagger and charisma, the ‘Thought You Should Know’ singer-songwriter rattled through a satidfying blend of chart-topping earworms and newly released offerings. Wallen outlined to fans that he'd make sure to play all the hits they wanted to sing-a-long to, while still treating them to live debuts of a handful of stand-outs from I'm the Problem.

Amusingly, after delivering a soulful live debut of ‘Just in Case’ - which is currently on-pace to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week - Morgan Wallen self-deprecatingly joked, “Y'all love them toxic songs. Guess I’ll keep singing them”.

Elsewhere during his stacked set, the ‘Love Somebody’ hitmaker performed the sweet, introspective ‘Superman’ for the first time ever, with Morgan Wallen dedicating the intricate ode to his son, Indigo. He captured the vulnerability of the studio recording, with Wallen stripping it all back to accentuate the emotionality of the track.

Another undoubted highlight was ‘I'm a Little Crazy‘, the wistful, visceral closer to I'm the Problem, with Wallen incorporating this pared-down gem into the much-loved B-stage portion of his set, during which he performs his slower, acoustic-leaning tracks.

His piano-driven take on ‘Sand in My Boots’, which inspired the title of festival, inevitably drew a rapturous response from the packed-out crowd, which stretched along the beach.

‘Cover Me Up‘, penned by Jason Isbell, remains one of the most moving parts of Morgan Wallen's live show, with Gulf Shores transforming into an earth-bound night sky as virtually every member of the crowd brought out their phone lights.

In addition, Morgan Wallen decided to add the rowdy ‘Don't We’ and the uptempo ‘Kick Myself’ into his 2025 setlist, along with the infectious, undulating ‘I Got Better’.

Given the fact that many of the Sand in My Boots Festival 2025 performers were either artists that Morgan Wallen has collaborated with or that he was simply a fan of, speculation was rife as to who Wallen would bring out during his headline set.

He chose to keep his guest-list close to home, teaming up with his friends and former tour-mates ERNEST and Bailey Zimmerman for ’Cowgirls’ and ’Up Down’ respectively.

It ensures the sense of anticipation remains through the roof ahead of Morgan Wallen's 2025 I'm the Problem Tour, with Wallen now preparing for his blockbuster one-night-only show across The Pond at London's Roundhouse on Wednesday, May 28th.
