During his explosive headline set on the final night of Sand in My Boots Festival 2025, Morgan Wallen appeared to tease that the genre-blending extravaganza might be returning.

Originally billed as a one-off celebration of Wallen's own music and a carefully curated line-up of artists he loves, the Sneedville megastar has offered us a glimmer of hope that Sand in My Boots Festival might be coming back for a second instalment.

Given how quickly the Gulf Shores, Alabama event sold out, with fans packing out the sun-soaked beach for the three-day festival this past weekend, you can't help but feel this could blossom into a must-see staple of the country music calendar.

In-between delivering electrifying renditions of fan-favourites from across his discography - including some highlights from his new album, I'm the Problem, which dropped on the opening day of Sand in My Boots Festival 2025 - Morgan Wallen took some time out to chat to attendees and discuss how the idea originally came together.

The Sneedville megastar reflected, “Me and a couple of my closest friends and teammates, we’ve been throwing the idea of doing a festival around for a long time now, and we just happened to run into the right partner and the right people to work with”.

He went on, “With a lot of hard work, and a lot of really great artists to come out here, we got to make that happen”, before tantalisingly adding, “We’ll try to do it again sometime”.

It's this last comment that has us thinking Morgan Wallen - who is undoubtedly aware of how detail-oriented his fanbase are, with Wallen often slipping subtle easter eggs and cryptic clues into his album rollouts - is suggesting the festival will be returning.

If there is a second year of Sand in My Boots on the horizon, it's not yet clear whether this would take place in 2026, or whether it would be timed around Wallen's next album.

As his set reached its conclusion, the ‘Just in Case’ hitmaker offered his gratitude to fans for continuing to show love to him, “Thank each and every one of you guys for making this possible… for supporting me, for supporting my new album”, before signing off with a heartfelt message, “I love each and every one of y’all!”

We're sure hoping this wasn't a standalone event, as the first Sand in My Boots Festival, which featured stellar performances from Post Malone, Bailey Zimmerman, Lauren Watkins, Ella Langley, Riley Green, Brooks and Dunn, Lauren Watkins, ERNEST, Wiz Khalifa and many more, delivered an array of unforgettable moments.
