After months of teasers, snippets and cryptic clues, we finally have it - Morgan Wallen has confirmed the official release date for his keenly awaited fourth album, I'm the Problem.
The project, one of the most highly anticipated projects of 2025, will drop on May 16th, serving as the perfect launch for his inaugural Sand in My Boots Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The country extravaganza takes place across May 16th to May 18th.
In addition, as Holler reported earlier this morning before Wallen's announcement, the Sneedville megastar will drop two new tracks from I'm the Problem tonight (Thursday, March 20th), the previously teased ‘Just in Case’ and ’I'm a Little Crazy’.
The singles appeared on YouTube Music in New Zealand this morning, once it had gone midnight Down Under, paving the way for Morgan Wallen's social media announcement today.
Although we initially suspected the ‘Last Night’ chart-topper might drop I'm the Problem on April 4th - 4/4 - in honour of this being Morgan Wallen's fourth studio album - the newly unveiled release date makes a lot of sense due to Sand in My Boots Festival.
It will ensure Wallen can debut a slew of tracks from his new record, with Sand in My Boots doubling up as an album release party in the mould of his 2023 Bridgestone Arena show.
The album artwork for I'm the Problem features a sketch of Morgan Wallen against a faded yellow background, with the image seemingly designed to call to mind a court-room drawing. This is perhaps a nod to Wallen's run-in with the law last year after throwing a chair off Chief's in Broadway, in a similar way to how 2021's Dangerous: The Double Album cover conjured up the genre-blender's 2020 mugshot.
In addition to ‘Just in Case’ and ‘I'm a Little Crazy’, I'm the Problem is expected to include the already-released title-track, along with ‘Smile’, ‘Love Somebody’ and ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’.
We're keeping our fingers crossed that two unreleased fan-favourites, the sinuous ‘Since You Got Gone’ and the deeply vulnerable ode to Morgan Wallen's son, Indigo, ‘Superman’, have also made the cut for the I'm the Problem tracklist.
Judging by the partially obscured photo Morgan Wallen shared in February, I'm the Problem is potentially set to be a whopping 37 songs long - so we're hoping this means we can look forward to a supersized setlist at Sand in My Boots this May.
