After months of rumours swirling around Morgan Wallen's eagerly awaited fourth studio album, we now - at long last - have an official announcement from the Sneedville megastar.
Morgan Wallen has confirmed his One Thing At A Time follow-up record will be called I'm the Problem, with the title-track being made available on Friday, January 31st 2025.
‘I'm the Problem’, which was penned by Wallen alongside frequent collaborators, Ernest Keith Smith, Ryan Vojtesak, Grady Block and Jamie McLaughlin, appears to be the previously teased fan-favourite, which followers speculatively called ‘I Guess’.
On this beautifully stripped-back offering, Morgan Wallen addresses an ex, reflecting, “I guess I'm the problem / And you're ‘Miss Never Do No Wrong’ / If I'm so awful, then why'd you stick around this long? / And if it's the whiskey, then why you keep on pullin' it off the shelf? / You hate that when you look at me, you halfway see yourself / And it got me thinkin' / If I'm the problem, then you might be the reason”.
To celebrate the news that he is preparing to enter his I'm the Problem era, Morgan Wallen has unveiled a sprawling US and Canada tour inspired by the forthcoming album.
As part of the ‘Last Night’ chart-topper's I'm the Problem Tour, Morgan Wallen will be taking the stage at stadiums across Texas, Wisconsin, Florida, Arizona, California and more.
The rotating line-up of openers features a dazzling A-list cast of country titans, with Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and Koe Wetzel serving as direct support, while some of the most exciting up-and-coming voices in country, Gavin Adcock, Corey Kent, Ella Langley and Anne Wilson, will be acting as the first-of-three.
In tandem with the blockbuster reveal, Morgan Wallen has underlined how much he's looking forward to returning to the road, “We made so many lifelong memories on the One Night at A Time World Tour, and I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for my fans and the way they showed up each night. As I’ve been working on new music, it has inspired me to get back on the road and share these new songs with each of you on the I’m The Problem Tour. See y’all there”.
Morgan Wallen's new album, I'm the Problem, is expected to feature unreleased tracks such as ’Since You Got Gone’ and ’Redneck’, in addition to much-loved singles, ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’, ’Love Somebody’ and the surprise New Year's Eve hit, ’Smile’.
There's no release date for Morgan Wallen's new album just yet, but with the tour launching on June 20th and Wallen's inaugural Sand in My Boots Festival taking place in Gulf Shores, Alabama in mid-May, we suspect - given this is his fourth album - he might be readying I'm the Problem for a 4/4 release. The ‘Thought You Should Know’ crooner dropped his previous record - his third - One Thing At A Time, on 3/3.
Either way, we can't wait to hear the full project in 2025, and with Morgan Wallen having established himself as one of the biggest artists on the planet with his wildly popular 2023 project, One Thing At A Time, and his record-breaking One Night At A Time tour, I'm the Problem is set to propel Wallen to even greater heights.
