As the anticipation continues to build ahead of her forthcoming album, Postcards From Texas, Miranda Lambert has treated fans to a brand new song snippet, ’No Man's Land’.
The intricate track feels cut from the same cloth as Miranda Lambert's recently released duet with Lainey Wilson, ‘Good Horses’, which will feature on Lainey's new album, Whirlwind.
Just like ‘Good Horses’, ‘No Man's Land’ finds the ‘In His Arms’ hitmaker crooning sagely and offering advice about how, when a woman decides to settle down in a relationship, her partner must always respect her need for freedom and independence.
‘No Man's Land’ cautions against possessiveness, with the track revolving around a witty play on the titular phrase, “And even when she's in your arms / She's still no man's land”. Endearingly, Miranda has accompanied the clip with a video starring her horses.
‘No Man's Land’ is an undulating, stripped-back offering that again highlights Miranda Lambert's musical versatility, with ‘No Man's Land’ joining the fiery, vengeful ’Wranglers’ and the playful, tongue-in-cheek ‘Alimony’ on Postcards From Texas.
With the full project due to arrive on September 13, hopefully this latest teaser is an indication that Miranda Lambert is planning on releasing ‘No Man's Land’ in the coming weeks.
Also set to appear on Postcards From Texas is a highly anticipated collaboration with Parker McCollum, ‘Sante Fe’, as well as other never-heard-before tracks such as ‘Looking Back On Luckenbach’, ‘January Heart’, ‘I Hate Long Songs’ and more.

“And even when she's in your arms
She's still no man's land
-
So love her like a Mustang, like a wild thing
Better let her run free
If she wants to love you, you let her love you
You give her everything”
