Miranda Lambert has announced a new album, coming out May 7th.
Lambert took to social media today to announce that she’s been working on a project called ‘The Marfa Tape’ with Jack Ingram and Jon Randall.
She has been teasing new music for the past week on TikTok and Twitter and dropped the news this morning.
The record has been recorded in Marfa in Texas and the first song ‘In His Arms’ will be released tonight at Midnight ET.
Speaking of the project, Lambert said “They’re raw. You can hear the wind blowing, the cows mooing...
We wanted you to feel like you were right there with us, sitting around the campfire, escaping the world, disappearing into the music”.
The trio have previously worked together on two of Lambert’s singles, ‘Tin Man’ and ‘Tequila Does’ - both of these previously released songs feature on the fifteen track record.
Last week Lambert released a new song called ‘Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)’ which she duetted on with Elle King.
Miranda Lambert is also celebrating being nominated in four different categories at this year’s ACM Awards.
