Luke Grimes has a busy few months ahead.

The ‘No Horse To Ride’ singer-songwriter might be gearing up for the premiere of his blockbuster new Yellowstone spin-off, Marshals, on March 1st, but Grimes has managed to find time to hit the studio in-between filming to record a brand new album.

Today (February 13th, 2026), Grimes has shared the lead single from his eagerly anticipated sophomore album, Red Bird. ’Love You Now’ is available to stream on all platforms.

It's a heartfelt, stripped-back ode that follows in the pared-down, alt-country vein of Grimes’ debut self-titled project, which arrived in 2024. However, while the sonics stay true to Grimes’ original blueprint, the mood is decidedly more joyful and serene.

The new song, ’Love You Now’, finds Grimes serenading his partner, as he underlines that he doesn't have anything else on his mind, other than spending the night with her.

The record is set to drop on April 3rd, 2026, with the project's release wisely timed while Grimes is starring in Marshals, which will no doubt add to the buzz around the album. Grimes revealed to Holler in September 2024 that he would be returning to the studio in 2025, and now, at long last, we get to hear the fruits of his labour.

Red Bird will include 10 songs and no features, including never-heard-before offerings such as ‘I'm Not Gonna Leave You’, ‘Drink Drink Drink’, ‘Hummingbird’ and ‘High Rise Jeans’. We had been hoping that, seeing as Riley Green is reportedly cameoing in Marshals, the two artists might have had a chance to pen a duet, but it seems we'll have to wait a little longer before we hear this duo on a track together...
