During his inaugural Bootleggers Bonfire event at Miramar Beach in Florida, Luke Combs was surprised by his long-time manager, Chris Kappy, with the news that he would be getting a star on the prestigious Music City Walk Of Fame in Nashville.

As the fan-focussed three-day extravaganza drew to a close, Chris Kappy made a rare on-stage appearance during Luke Combs’ headline set. A perplexed Luke Combs watched on as Kappy delivered the momentous announcement, “10 years ago, you moved to Nashville without a record deal, without a publisher, with some songs and a dream. Could you please turn around and face this screen...”

At that point, the Jumbotron behind Luke Combs and Chris Kappy lit up with the message, “Congratulations Luke Combs on your upcoming induction into the Music City Walk Of Fame”.

The induction, which is free for the public to attend, is due to take place on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at the Music City Walk Of Fame Park in Downtown Nashville.

Luke Combs will be inducted on the same day as Jimmy Buffett, The Fairfield Four, Colin Reed and Bill Cody. The ‘When It Rains It Pours’ singer-songwriter will be joining esteemed company on the Walk Of Fame, with a dazzling array of country icons such as Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Reba McEntire, Wynonna Judd, Vince Gill and more having been inducted into the illustrious institution.

There's always a possibility that a fellow country legend will be on-hand to present the accolade to new inductees, with fans hoping one of Luke Combs’ good buddies and collaborators - such as Eric Church, perhaps - will take part in the ceremony. For instance, Mac McAnally, one of the most prominent members of Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band, will be presenting the posthumous star to Buffett.

Elsewhere during Luke Combs’ hit-filled set at the final day of the Bootleggers Bonfire festival in Florida, the ‘Beautiful Crazy’ crooner treated his fervent, adoring crowd to blockbuster anthems such as ‘Beer Never Broke My Heart’, ‘Forever After All’ and ‘Cold as You’. Two days prior, Luke serenaded ticket-holders - who were drawn from his loyal Bootleggers fanbase - with an array of ‘deep cuts’ that he doesn't usually perform, such as ‘Dear Today’, ‘Can I Get an Outlaw’ and ‘Joe’.

Luke Combs’ 2024 Music City Walk Of Fame Induction ceremony takes place at 1pm on Wednesday, October 30th, at the Music City Walk Of Fame Park. Tickets are not required.
