'Old Town Road' is a gift that keeps on giving.
The smash-hit single by Lil Nas X, featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, has made history this month by becoming the highest certified song in Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) history.
As defined by the RIAA, one song unit is equal to a single digital song sale, or 150 on-demand audio and/or video streams. 'Old Town Road' has now hit 14 x Platinum status - equating to 14 million song units.
Taking to social media, Lil Nas X celebrated the major milestone, writing: "OLD TOWN ROAD IS OFFICIALLY 14 TIMES PLATINUM! MOST PLATINUMS FOR ANY SONG EVER! LETS GOOO!"
Cyrus was also quick to celebrate, tweeting: "Incredible. I’m speechless. #OTR is now 14x platinum and the most certified song in music history."
2021 is certainly off to a strong start for the country-rap star, who published his first children's book, C is for Country, on January 5.
