Levi Foster has unveiled his keenly anticipated debut album, We Made Fire, today (August 29th, 2025), featuring the much-loved, uptempo single, ‘She's in Richmond’.

The impressive project also includes the sinuous, captivating duet with fellow country up-and-comer, Gloria Anderson, ‘Emerald Eyes’, and the electrifying, energising title-track.

Both embody the Virginia native's commitment to staying true to his traditional country roots, with sumptuously nostalgic, steel-soaked instrumentation permeating the project. ‘Emerald Eyes’, for instance, feels like it could easily have been a Country Radio hit from one of the genre's golden eras in the ‘50s or ‘60s, with Foster and Anderson's yearning vocals drifting dreamily across the sparse backing.

Speaking ahead of its release, the ‘Frost in the Field’ singer-songwriter has insightfully explained what inspired this body of work, “This record came from the tension between memory and myth - what’s real, what’s imagined, and how they both shape us”.

Foster expanded, “I wanted it to sound like a campfire confession and a southern ghost story all at once. Every track digs into the roots of where I come from and what I’m still trying to understand about love, loss, and the land that raised me”.

At times, the fast-emerging artist's commanding vocals feel like they're drawing from country's outer edges, with Foster delivering a Colter Wall-esque growl on the title-track, before opting for a sleeker, more atmospheric style on ‘California Gold’.

We Made Fire cements Levi Foster's status as an exciting figure in today's country landscape, with this 10-song project no doubt ensuring his momentum remains high.

Having opened for the likes of Ashley McBryde, Oliver Anthony, Trace Adkins, Pam Tillis, Vince Gill and Lorrie Morgan, Levi Foster is championing a sincere brand of classic country that is becoming harder to find in the modern genre-blurring world. Foster has a number of 2025 tour-dates on the books, including stops in Nashville, Tennessee and Macon, Georgia, with more shows set to be announced soon.
