Following a wildly successful few years and an ascent into one of country music's most beloved figures, Lainey Wilson is releasing a Netflix documentary charting her rise.

With two CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year triumphs under her belt, numerous chart-topping singles and a slew of blockbuster international tours, it's safe to say there will be plenty of momentous highs to explore during the new documentary. Wilson's keenly awaited new project has been directed by Amy Scott.

In an official statement, Wilson has underlined her excitement, “I couldn’t be more excited that this documentary is going to be on Netflix. This was such a special project to make, and I hope that folks who watch it see that no dream is too big and that staying true to who you are will always lead you exactly where you’re meant to be”.

The documentary is set to premiere globally on Netflix on April 22nd, 2026, which is welcome news to the ‘Heart Like a Truck’ hitmaker's fans across The Pond and Down Under, who are often made to wait a few months after the official US air dates.

The Louisiana native's eagerly anticipated Netflix project has been produced by Teton Ridge Entertainment, Sandbox Studios and MakeMake in association with Shark Pig Studios.

The production team consists of Angus Wall, Terry Leonard, Kent Kubena, Thomas Tull, Jillian Share, Jason Owen and Jen Gorton. Mandelyn Monchick, Josh Miller, Katie Admire, Jillian Apfelbaum and Nicolas Gordon are executive producers on the film. Elsewhere in 2026, Wilson makes her feature film debut in an adaptation of Colleen Hoover's Reminders of Him, which premieres on March 13th, 2026.

Since storming into the mainstream country consciousness with her lauded Bell Bottom Country in 2022, the ‘Somewhere Over Laredo’ singer-songwriter has propelled herself into the upper echelon of the genre, with Wilson now an undisputed country titan. What's more, Wilson has built a reputation as one of the most kind-hearted artists in the space, which will no doubt radiate through the documentary.
