Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll and More Join Bon Jovi for Star-Studded New ‘Forever (Legendary Edition)’ Album

Bon Jovi has announced a star-studded re-release of his 2024 album, Forever, with the rock titan teaming up with a plethora of artists including Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, Bruce Springsteen, Marcus King, James Bay, The War and Treaty and Jason Isbell.

There will also be features from icons such Robbie Williams, Avril Lavigne, Ryan Tedder, Joe Elliott, Carin León and Billy Falcon, as well as a solo cut, ‘Red, White and Jersey’.

Both the latter and ‘Hollow Man’ with Bruce Springsteen are being made to available tomorrow (Friday, August 29th), with the full project arriving on October 24th.

A range of country phenoms have contributed to the record, with Lainey Wilson joining forces with Bon Jovi for ‘I Wrote You A Song’, while Jelly Roll lends his vocals to ‘Living Proof’. Marcus King, meanwhile, takes on ‘My First Guitar’, Jason Isbell appears on ‘Waves’ and The War and Treaty guest on ‘The People's House’.

Speaking ahead of the unveiling, Bon Jovi mused, “This album is more than just a collection of collaborations, it is an album borne out of necessity. My vocal chord surgery and subsequent rehab was a well-documented journey that played out while releasing Forever in June 2024. I was singing well enough in the studio for the recording, but the vocal demands and rigors of touring were still out of reach for me. Without the ability to tour or promote an album we were all very proud of, I decided to call on some friends to help me in my time of need”.

He expanded, “All are great singers, artists, and also just great people. The result is an album with a new viewpoint and new spirit - a collaboration album that proves we all get by in this world with a little help from our friends. I feel tremendous joy and gratitude releasing this album and I think it shows in the music. I can say with certainty that there is always something bigger than me, and that’s we”.

Given the calibre of artists on this project, the fact that Bon Jovi has recruited so many country-leaning singer-songwriters for this revamped rendition of Forever once again highlights how popular and respected the genre has become in recent years.
