It feels like Koe Wetzel has had something brewing for a while now and the arrival of a new album from the East Texas hitmaker feels more and more promising with each new single release.

The 'Casamigos' artist recently announced 'Time Goes On' as his latest offering. He's been teasing the reflective tune since the start of 2026, highlighting the song's contemplative chorus across social media.

"Crazy how the years go fast," he sings against his signature rock-heavy brand of country, "Crazy how the hours feel long / Even through the mistakes / And the can't get through this / The times goes on / The time goes on."

The ruminative nature of 'Time Goes On' feels especially poignant as Wetzel is set to celebrate the 10th year anniversary of his 2016 album, Noise Complaint, a landmark release that essentially secured his stardom a decade ago.

Dropping on Feb. 6, the forthcoming tune will join a recent slate of one-off singles, like 'Surrounded' and 'Werewolf'. Could this signal the beginnings of a new collection and the follow-up to his 2024 project, 9 Lives? Well, we'll see as time goes on.

When in conversation with Holler in the fall of 2024, Wetzel noted that there were some songs that didn't make it onto the 9 Lives album. "We got a lot of music in the vault," he shared, adding, even then, "We're already writing for the new record. The flame is hot right now, so I guess we got to take advantage of it."
