Kenny Chesney has taken to Instagram to offer his thanks to ESPN SportsCenter's beloved duo, Randy Scott and Gary Striewski, for joining him at Sphere Las Vegas.
The ‘No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems’ legend has shared a photo from the light-hearted moment, when Scott and Striewski surprised the crowd by emerging on-stage.
In the newly shared post, Kenny Chesney outlines, “Thanks so much to @RandyScott, @thekimchipapi (Gary Striewski), and @ESPN for all the love on @SportsCenter the last couple days”, before reflecting on his spectacular run of shows at the immersive Sphere throughout the summer, gushing, “What a blast Vegas was”.
Chesney has often mused that his two biggest passions in life are music and sports, with the Knoxville icon regularly swinging by ESPN to offer his thoughts on a range of matches.
The ‘I Go Back’ hitmaker even appeared in an ESPN commercial alongside anchor Steve Levy in 2012, as well as producing the football documentary, The Boys Of Fall, with Chesney releasing a song of the same name as part of his Hemingway's Whiskey album.
Via X (formerly Twitter) earlier today, the official SportsCenter ESPN account shared an amusing video of Randy Scott and Gary Striewski rowing through the dramatic Arizona cliffs.
Partway through their voyage, they turn to one another and decide to leap into the water, before remarking that a “friend of the show” is performing nearby later than evening. They fast-forward to bumping into Chesney backstage at Sphere Las Vegas, before Scott and Striewski then stride out on-stage during his headline show.
We're still not over how fantastic Kenny Chesney's Sphere residency was, with the Beach Country titan treating his packed-out audiences to an array of special guests, including Kelsea Ballerini, Megan Moroney, Old Dominion, Mac McAnally and more.
Thankfully, he has confirmed he'll be doing it all over again in 2026, with No Shoes Nation able to lose themselves in Chesney's sun-soaked, island-inspired world again next summer.
