In his personal life, Kelsey Hart isn't pining over an old flame, like in his latest single, 'Fireworks'. He isn't tangled up in lost love either, like the man he portrays in his upcoming release, 'Something That You’d Miss'.

"I'm happily married," the singer-songwriter assures Holler with a laugh. While taking a break in the studio, the 'Life With You' star dishes on what is set to be an exciting new musical era.

As a country artist, he's working to tell everyone's story, not just his own, wanting those who listen to hear a piece of themselves in the songs that he's singing.

And just as there is that deep connection and subtle empathy throughout the music Hart has recently shared with fans, there's also a newfound energy.

"As far as the feel of it," he shares of his recent releases, "I wanted more up-tempo, live, fun stuff to play."

These latest singles – most recently 'Fireworks' and his soon-to-hit 'Something That You’d Miss', which arrives on Friday (Aug. 22) – especially, hum with that vibrant electricity, the two songs some of his most exhilarating to date.

This fresh batch of songs, including tracks like 'I Went To The Bar' and 'Gone With The Wind' which have consistently been dropped throughout the year, mark the follow-up to Hart's widely lauded debut album, Life With You, from 2024.

Those tunes aren't the only things he's had up his sleeve lately.

"We've still got a couple more [songs] coming at the end of the year," he says, hinting at a Christmas song set to grace our ears come Yule and even adding, "Next year, we're going to put out a full-length album."

The upcoming collection will feature a lot of the energy he has been pouring into these new offerings, but fans can also expect an album that Hart describes as "pretty country".

"There's going to be a lot of pretty hardcore country songs," he shares of the forthcoming project. "It's really kind of where I come from and who I am. I'm excited to show more of that side of me."

While Hart's next chapter is just getting started, this new album seems set to capture the star outside of the writing room, firmly planted in the spotlight and with his dreams just in reach.

"Making that transition from writing [songs] all the time to actually being out on the road singing them has been a lot of fun," he says. "I've always just wanted to be on the stage singing ... It's been a lot of fun to finally get out and be able to do that."

Hart will continue to take on stages across the country, with a few dates slated for late summer and early fall. Even more new music will be joining him along the way.

"It's been a good ride," he says of the last few months, "and hopefully, it's just getting going."
