Kelsea Ballerini has teamed up with Kelly Clarkson for a moving, stripped-back rendition of ‘To The Men That Love Women After Heartbreak’, a bonus track from Kelsea's new album, Patterns.
This duet of ‘To The Men That Love Women After Heartbreak’ accentuates the heartfelt lyricism that pervades the track, letting the spotlight deservingly fall on Kelsea and Kelly's striking harmonies. The song finds Kelsea paying homage to the way in which her boyfriend, Chase Stokes, has supported her following her divorce in 2023.
‘To The Men That Love Women After Heartbreak’ had already established itself as a fan-favourite long before Kelsea Ballerini officially announced her new album back in August 2024.
The ‘half of my hometown’ hitmaker debuted the intimate ballad at the Grand Ole Opry almost a year ago in November 2023, with Kelsea performing the sweet ode alongside the song's co-writers, Hillary Lindsey and Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild.
When the tracklist for Patterns arrived, fans were disappointed to see no sign of ‘To The Men That Love Women After Heartbreak’. Thankfully, shortly after the release of Patterns last month, Kelsea Ballerini dropped the long-awaited single as a bonus track on the digital download version of the album, in addition to a stripped-back rendition of ‘Two Things’, another much-loved offering from Patterns.
Patterns has officially debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, marking Kelsea Ballerini's highest ever entry on the chart. The project has also surged straight to the pinnacle of Billboard's Top Country Albums ranking, which represents another first for Kelsea.
