Jessie Murph is currently gearing up to release her brand new album, That Ain't No Man That's The Devil, on September 6th, and undoubtedly one of the most eagerly anticipated tracks is the long-teased and long-awaited ‘Someone in This Room’.

However, it appears Jessie Murph has an exciting surprise up her sleeve. Bailey Zimmerman has taken to his socials to tease a duet version of ‘Someone in This Room’.

On the album pre-order page for That Ain't No Man That's The Devil, ‘Someone in This Room’ is still listed as a solo song by Jessie Murph. It seems this collaboration is either going to be released as a separate single, with a version with only Jessie on the album, or perhaps Bailey's feature has just been hidden on Spotify and Apple Music.

Fans had been hoping ‘Someone in This Room’ might be the final single to drop ahead of Jessie Murph's full album on September 6th, but Jessie has since confirmed it won't be arriving early. The fact that the duet will be released on the same day as the project as a whole makes us think the collaborative version will indeed appear on the tracklist, rather than being packaged as a distinct single.

The soul-baring, evocative track finds Jessie Murph and Bailey Zimmerman trading verses about a particularly painful break-up, which leaves both of them wondering where the blame lies.

Jessie and Bailey's atmospheric vocals combine as they croons, “Someone in this room / Is someone's bad decision / And someone's too fucked up to leave their kitchen / Someone is the martyr / To someone's bad religion / Someone's dragging someone else down with them / I used to know who was who / Now I'm just someone in this room”.

Jessie Murph's sophomore record, That Ain't No Man That's The Devil, arrives on September 6th, and will feature the already-released ‘Dirty’ with Teddy Swims, ‘Son of a Bitch’, ‘I Hope It Hurts’, ‘Wild Ones’ with Jelly Roll, ‘Cold’ and ‘High Road’ with Koe Wetzel.
