“Our Baby Wanted to Make Us Smile”: Jelly Roll's Daughter, Bailee, Surprises Jelly and Bunnie XO with Heartwarming Prom-Themed Party

In anticipation of Jelly Roll's 41st birthday today (Tuesday, December 4th), his daughter Bailee threw a surprise, prom-themed party for Jelly and his wife, Bunnie XO.

Bunnie has taken to social media to express her gratitude for the experience, sharing that Bailee had decided to organise the event as a tribute to her father and step-mother, because neither Bunnie nor Jelly had been able to attend their own proms.

Bunnie sets the scene, “I learned a powerful lesson as a parent this week. Bailee has always hated school dances. But because J and I never went to ours, we've always pushed her: “Go make memories. Go have the experiences we missed””.

She explains that, initially her and Jelly were reluctant to attend the mysterious event, “This year has been heavy - schedules, mental health, burnout...all of it. We've kept to ourselves, and we hate surprises. So when Bailee texted saying she had one for us, I spiraled. Especially after we swore there'd be no surprises for J's birthday”.

But ultimately, they decided to be there for Bailee, “But we showed up for our girl anyway...even with tired hearts”, emotionally adding, “What we walked into stopped us in our tracks - a full room of friends and family...a night she called ‘Under the Stars’. A prom / birthday party she created for us. She crowned us King and Queen, and we danced and sang like teenagers who finally got their moment”.

Bunnie movingly concludes, “All because our baby wanted to make us smile. She did it all herself didn't miss one detail. Even did sugar free mocktails for me & a crown for Chachi. And the lesson? Time is the most previous thing we own. Spend it on your people. The memories you make with them will outlive everything else”.

In the caption, Bunnie pays tribute to Bailee, who became her stepdaughter in 2017 after a custody battle, “MY GIRL...I love you infinity, thank you for making me a better human”.

The event featured a host of Jelly and Bunnie's friends and family members, with the night concluding with a heartfelt slow-dance as they were crowned Prom King and Queen.

After what's evidently been a hectic and challenging year, it's an incredibly thoughtful gesture from Bailee, and one that clearly meant a great deal to both Jelly and Bunnie.

Despite being forces for good in country music and carrying out various philanthropic initiatives, Jelly and Bunnie continue to receive flak from online trolls related to their appearances, intimate details about their relationship and Jelly's weight loss.

After this testing period of time, we're just glad to see them happy, given how much time and energy the husband-and-wife duo devote to making others happy through their charitable efforts, Bunnie's insightful podcast and Jelly's soul-stirring music.
