To many of his fans, Jelly Roll is already the ‘GOAT’, but the ‘Need a Favor’ hitmaker has now confirmed he'll soon be a ‘Goat’ in a different sense. The Nashville native has revealed he's appearing in the new animated sports-comedy movie, Goat, as well as dropping a brand new song, ‘I'm Good’, as part of the soundtrack.
The movie premieres on February 13th, and will feature Jelly in his first voice-acting role as Grizz. The project also sees the reunion of two Stranger Things favourites, Caleb McLaughlin and David Harbour, who play Lucas and Hopper in the hit series.
This time around, McLaughin is stepping into the shoes of Will Harris and Harbour is portraying Archie Everhardt. Stranger Things aficionados will recognise Eduardo Franco, too, who appeared in Series 4 as the much-loved stoner, Argyle.
The star-studded cast also includes basketball legend, Steph Curry - who serves as Goat's producer - along with Nicola Coughlan, Aaron Pierre and Gabrielle Union.
Goat has been crafted by the same artists who made the hit movies, KPop Demon Hunters and Spider-Man: Across the SpiderVerse. The rip-roaring plot follows a goat, Will (McLaughlin), who chases down his dream of becoming a pro roarball player.
Via Instagram, Jelly Roll has underlined his excitement ahead of the release of his eagerly anticipated project, “Can’t believe I’m saying this y’all - my voice acting debut is COMING SOON!!! And it gets even cooler, my new song “I’m Good” from GOATS original soundtrack is what you’re hearing in this trailer. God is so, so good”.
Fans can hear a snippet of ‘I'm Good’, which is expected to be released in tandem with the film on Friday, February 13th, playing during the official Goat trailer in Jelly's post.
