Thomas Rhett will fulfil a longstanding objective in July 2025, with the ‘Somethin’ Bout a Woman’ hitmaker unveiling a blockbuster headline show at the home of the Boston Red Sox, Fenway Park, featuring Teddy Swims, Tucker Wetmore and The Castellows.
Rhett will take the stage on Saturday, 19th July, with fans able to purchase tickets through the Georgia native's Home Team pre-sale from tomorrow, Tuesday, January 14th. General ticket on-sale begins on Friday, January 17th at 10am local time.
In a heartfelt social media post, Thomas Rhett has emphasised how this serves as a special moment for him, with the ‘Look What God Gave Her’ crooner recalling a number of particularly memorable country events he's witnessed in Boston over the years.
Thomas Rhett reflected, “Ever since I was 21 I have always dreamed of headlining a baseball stadium. I remember way early in my career playing shows in Boston. House of blues, TD Garden, Gillette with Kenny Chesney, Fenway with Jason Aldean. You get the picture”. Rhett has accompanied his message with a video of him performing an acoustic version of the Boston Red Sox's famous 8th Inning anthem, Neil Diamond's ‘Sweet Caroline’, while donning a Red Sox jersey.
Thomas Rhett went on to reveal that he was originally lined up to perform at Fenway Park in 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic derailed that show, “Boston has always been sooo good to us. To be transparent.. we were planning on playing Fenway in 2020 and we all know how that panned out haha! So, since then my team and I have been working really hard to figure out when was the best time”.
Endearingly, the country-pop chart-topper admitted that he was feeling a little nervous ahead of his Fenway Park debut, with this set to mark the first time Thomas Rhett headlines a baseball stadium, “Not gonna lie it’s kind of terrifying jumping from an arena or amphitheater to a baseball stadium, but YOLO!! I have never been more excited about something in my career as much as I am about this”.
Attendees will be hoping Thomas Rhett joins forces with Teddy Swims for a spectacular live rendition of their popular 2024 collaboration, ‘Somethin’ Bout a Woman’, during Rhett's headline set at Fenway Park. They delivered a stellar performance of the soulful offering during the 2024 CMA Awards, and the artists have been good friends for years now, having first teamed up on Swims’ 2021 fan-favourite, ‘Broke’.
The newly unveiled Fenway Park date slots into Thomas Rhett's previously announced Better in Boots tour, with performances on the books in New York, Pennsylvania, Florida and more.
