During his show in State College, Pennsylvania this past Saturday night (January 25), award-winning country artist Parker McCollum was forced to do something he'd never imagined: cancel his show mid-set.

After just a few songs on the star's What Kinda Man Tour stop, it was apparent that McCollum was not feeling 100%, let alone up to the standard that he holds himself to during his live shows.

As breaks between songs started to lengthen, stage lights were turned off as McCollum threw up into a bin on stage. Before long, McCollum called curtains on the show altogether.

“Penn State I apologize sincerely, I’m going to call the show. I’ll give each and every single one of y’all your money back,” he told the crowd. “It’s from the deepest part of my heart that I apologize for having to do this

"I’ve never done this in all the years I’ve been singing country music. I apologize sincerely. I hope you guys will forgive us," he added. “We will come back and make it up. I will give every penny you spent tonight back to you. Thank you so much.”

Once the disappointed crowd at Bryce Jordan Center had started making their way home, McCollum took to socials to further underline his sincere apologies and shed a bit more light on what was happening.

"State College, PA...I am sorry about tonight...was getting pretty sick before the show and tried to make it through. Sadly, I couldn't make it happen," he shared on X. "Definitely not how we wanted the show to go, but we are going to make it up to you very soon. Details will be coming soon."

The January 25 show marked just the third date on McCollum’s What Kinda Man 2025 Tour, which will take him to Rhode Island on January 30, followed by shows in Maine and Massachusetts in the coming days.

Earlier last week, McCollum was on hand for President Donald Trump's inauguration celebrations in Washington, D.C. Performing at the inaugural ball on the evening of January 20, the Texas native delivered a moving rendition of Toby Keith's 'Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue' during his set.

Other performances across the day included a wide swatch of country artists, including Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts, Jason Aldean, Kid Rock and Billy Ray Cyrus, among others.
