We, at Holler, are thrilled to be hosting the album release party for Midland's forthcoming record, Barely Blue, and we're hoping you'll join us for the exclusive Montucky Cold Snacks-sponsored event.
Set to take place on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at a to-be-announced venue in East Nashville, Tennessee, the event will celebrate the Texas-formed trio – comprising Mark Wystrach, Cameron Duddy and Jess Carson – and their new album, a project that coincides with the group's tenth year together.
Fans have a chance to enter to win tickets to the showcase and see the band perform a set of classic and yet-to-be released material ahead of their album's arrival on Friday, Sept. 20.
Interested attendees can apply to win tickets, here.
Contestants must be 21 years of age or older. A maximum two tickets are allowed per form entry.
Midland's fourth studio album, Barely Blue, finds the band teaming up with visionary producer, Dave Cobb, for the first time to craft a sweeping soundscape that explores themes loneliness, resilience, heartache and more.
“We knew we wanted to go somewhere else," Duddy explained of the eight-song project alongside the album announcement. "We are all big believers in a certain time and place, a sense of classic country that comes from roadhouses and bad coffee, miles and miles and miles on the road – and the idea that, even though we’re all happy, love and life falls apart, but that doesn’t mean you have to, too".
"When we were writing these songs, it was a trip into all the things in country music we love," he continued. "You don’t hear much of this kind of unfiltered, hard stuff that comes with the great guitar sounds, the deep harmonies and shuffles you can tuck into. But that’s the essence of what Midland is – and Dave Cobb brought a new altitude to our sound”.
Midland will share that sound on the road this fall as they embark on their The Get Lucky tour, with dates lined up across Ohio, Illinois, Iowa, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, Colorado, Utah, Washington and more.
