Gigi Perez has fulfilled her “inner teenage dreams” by taking the stage on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, for a spellbinding performance of her viral 2024 hit, ‘Sailor Song’.

In a touching socials post shared in the lead-up to her national TV appearance, the fast-emerging folk crooner revealed that she'd fantasised about joining Fallon for a decade.

Gigi Perez recalled, “10 years ago, I went on an NBC studio tour where I sat in a chair pretending I was on The Tonight Show. This week, it’s really happening 😭...Thank you @jimmyfallon and @fallontonight for making my inner teenage dreams come true 🫂”.

‘Sailor Song’ has blossomed into the cornerstone of Gigi Perez's tour setlist, and her Tonight Show rendition of the moving ode to sapphic love captured the anthemic, rousing ambience that ripples throughout the crowd whenever she launches into the track.
