Gabby Barrett has overtaken Maren Morris’ title of longest-running No. 1 by a solo female act on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.

Her single ‘I Hope’ – a break-up country anthem – returned to No.1 this week, officially marking its 20th week in the top spot and 85th week in the chart overall.

"Wow, I'm blown away," commented Barrett. "This year has been absolutely crazy for all of us, so to have this kind of year career-wise feels surreal. I'm so grateful for every step that my team, my fans and, most importantly, my family have taken to bring us here."

Maren Morris’ ‘The Bones’ previously held the title, reigning at No.1 for 19 weeks.
