Shaboozey has ignited speculation that he has a collaboration up his sleeve with Morgan Wallen, after the ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ hitmaker shared a since-deleted video of him FaceTiming Morgan with the caption, ‘@MorganWallen pickup my boy...’
It's possible the two artists are simply good buddies, and this is a random FaceTime conversation Shaboozey wanted to capture on his socials. Yet the fact the fast-emerging artist shared the clip so publicly makes us think he's hinting at a link-up.
With Shaboozey being one of the most buzzed-about new artists in country music today and Morgan Wallen continuing to consolidate himself as the biggest star in the genre, a collaboration between the two would surely prove to be a monster hit.
Given how both Shaboozey and Morgan Wallen are renowned for their ability to seamlessly incorporate styles and textures from other genres into country music, a duet would undoubtedly make a lot of sense, and we think they'd be able to cook up something incredible if they do hit the studio together - that is, if they haven't already.
Shaboozey's infectious anthem, ’A Bar Song (Tipsy)’, has surged past 300 million streams on Spotify in the space of just two months, with the Virginia singer-songwriter delivering a flurry of high-profile performances in recent weeks at CMA Fest 2024 in Nashville, Capital's Summertime Ball in London and Spotify Beach in Cannes.
Morgan Wallen, on the other hand, has held onto the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for a fifth consecutive week, courtesy of his blockbuster collaboration with Post Malone, ‘I Had Some Help’, with Morgan currently readying a brand new single, ’Lies, Lies, Lies’.
With Morgan Wallen seemingly gearing up to announce his keenly awaited One Thing At A Time follow-up album, perhaps he's recruited Shaboozey as a guest feature on the forthcoming project. Either way, we're keeping our fingers tightly crossed the new rumours that Shaboozey and Morgan have joined forces on a song are indeed true.
