Esther Rose has shared her new single ‘Good Time’.
The single, which comes out today, is taken off her upcoming album How Many Times - which is set for release March 26th.
The idea behind the song for Rose came from a 15-hour-drive, from Wisconsin to New Orleans. The plan was to stop off in Nashville for a shoot, but due to mechanical issues her Subaru arrived on the back of a tow-truck.
As a songwriter, the irony and symbolism was not lost on Rose - who began to detail it in a song.
The chorus, part lament and part acceptance, is quite anthemic as she sings “It’s a good time, having a real good time, it’s a real good time for bad timing, amen”.
This is Rose’s third single from her forthcoming record, the title-track and ‘Keeps Me Running’ have already received positive reviews and airplay.
The upcoming album was written over two years, in that time Rose moved three times, saw the end of a relationship and toured relentlessly - for her, this album symbolises an awakening.
