Eric Church has released his new single ‘Heart on Fire’.

The latest single, which was released today, is an uptempo, nostalgic number, written solely by Church. ‘Heart On Fire’, driven by its guitar and piano melody, leans slightly towards the Rock side of Country.

Joanna Cotten, Church’s back-up singer, deserves a mention for delivering a passionate performance on the track.

Throughout the song, Church refers to a number of songs and artists that have inspired him over time, classics such as Guns N Roses ‘Paradise City’ and legends such as Elvis.

The verses tell the story of young love and the fond memories that creates, “That look on your face was full of wild desire, soakin’ my soul in gasoline and settin’ my heart on fire” he swoons in the chorus.

‘Heart on Fire’ is the lead single from Church’s upcoming albums ‘Heart & Soul.’ The 24-song-project, produced by Jay Joyce, was recorded in a former restaurant that they turned into a recording studio.

They recorded one song each day and an array of talented Musicians and Songwriters are credited on the triple album.

Each of the discs shall be released on a different day; Heart is due on April 16th, & will be released on April 20th and Soul arrives on April 23rd.
