Emily Zeck continues to cement herself as one of the most refreshing new voices in country, with the self-professed ‘Coastal Cowgirl‘ dropping a brand new single, ‘Old Trucks’.
The playful, light-hearted earworm finds Zeck jovially rattling through all the things that make her happiest, landing on three that will no doubt resonate with a host of listeners (“So what if I find it therapeutic / I love old trucks, good dogs and country music”).
Speaking ahead of the infectious new song's release, the Georgia native reflects on how the jubilant track came about, “Sometimes storytelling through songwriting can be as simple as listing what makes you happy and telling the whole world about it”.
The fast-emerging artist expands by warmly musing, “I figured if it brings me joy, there's a chance it might bring somebody else joy... and that's a risk I'm always willing to take”.
We're always glad to hear artists spreading joy and positivity through their music, and Emily Zeck will no doubt add a slew of new fans to her burgeoning listenership with this tune.
It follows the arrival of the stellar ‘It Ain't Me’ and ‘Loud Mouth Women’, with the excitement building ahead of Emily Zeck's keenly awaited debut studio album, which will hopefully be announced in the coming months. The traditional-leaning prodigy is currently in the middle of her popular Sandy Boots UK run of shows.
