Ella Langley has taken to socials to share a clip of a brand new song, ‘made it out of mexico’, with the bittersweet offering set to appear on Langley's new still hungover deluxe album.

Accompanied by a cinematic video of the Alabama singer-songwriter sat on a bed while playing the song with an acoustic guitar, the new snippet of ‘made it out of mexico’ finds Ella Langley reflecting wistfully on a short-lived, sun-soaked holiday romance.

Across the gentle strum, Langley croons, “Yellow sundress in a suitcase / Headed down just south of the border / Take a little vacation / Get away where the water's warmer”.

The ‘you look like you love me’ hitmaker goes on to recall how she fell for someone while away, enjoying a passionate but fleeting encounter, “Couldn't get enough of each other's touch / Had my at the first hello / Still got that ticket from the plane that flew me home / But I never made it out of Mexico / I never made it out of Mexico”.

In the titular lyric, the narrator suggests that, although she had to depart from Mexico and head home, her heart never truly got on that plane with her, as she left it with her lover.

The newly teased ‘made it out of mexico’ will arrive on November 1st as part of Ella Langley's still hungover deluxe album. This will see four tracks and a monologue added to Langley's original hungover project, which dropped on August 2nd.

Langley has explained that she'd be releasing ‘made it out of mexico’ as an acoustic track, continuing the tradition of closing out her projects with stripped-back recordings.

The ‘That's Why We Fight’ crooner outlined her reasoning for this, “ I decided when I put out my first project that I wanted to end each project with acoustic tracks. right back where it all started. just me & a guitar. this is one of the oldest songs out of the 18 & one of my favorites… without further ado here’s ’made it out of mexico’”.

This latest teaser will be joined on still hungover by the already-released ‘weren't for the wind’, alongside ‘girl you're taking home’, ‘20-20’ and a concluding ‘monologue’.
