In the comments section of a new video promoting his forthcoming single, ‘Comin’ in Cold’, Bailey Zimmerman has dropped what appears to be a tantalising hint that he might have a long-awaited collaboration with Morgan Wallen on the horizon.
In response to a fan that asks what we've all been wondering over the past few years, “when's the bailey x morgan collab”, Zimmerman has shared three ‘looking eyes’ emojis.
These usually indicate mock coyness, with the ‘Religiously’ hitmaker potentially teasing that he may have a star-studded duet with Wallen on his sophomore studio album.
Fans will remember in March, Zimmerman replied to a similar comment, “*manifesting. a morgan wallen x bz collab” with the enthusiastic “hahahaha would be fireeee.”
Bailey Zimmerman joined Morgan Wallen at the latter's Sand in My Boots Festival 2025 last weekend for a live-wire rendition of ‘Up Down’, and the duo have become close friends after spending much of the past couple of years out on the road together.
Bailey Zimmerman has frequently underlined his admiration for Morgan Wallen in interviews, with the Sneedville megastar even co-writing one of Zimmerman's first releases, ‘Trainwreck’. With Wallen serving as a mentor for the ‘Rock and A Hard Place’ prodigy, it feels like a matter of time before they join forces in the studio.
We reckon Zimmerman's brooding vibrato and Wallen's charismatic drawl would combine seamlessly on a track, with the duo teaming up to perform an array of tracks on-stage in recent years, such as ’Cowgirls’, ‘I Deserve a Drink’ and ‘Up Down’.
As much as we love hearing Zimmerman and Wallen combine on these earworms, it would be incredible to get to see them showcasing their chemistry on an original track.
With Bailey Zimmerman continuing to tease his new single, ‘Comin’ in Cold’ - which he debuted at Sand in My Boots 2025 - some are speculating that this might be a collaboration with Wallen. Given the fact that Zimmerman has already dropped two high-profile duets in 2025, ‘All The Way’ with BigXthaPlug and ‘Backup Plan’ with Luke Combs, we imagine he'll want to let the dust settle from these before unveiling his crown jewel - a blockbuster collaboration with Morgan Wallen. If Zimmerman has secured both Combs and Wallen for his new album, then it's safe to say the hype surrounding his Religiously follow-up with reach fever-pitch.
‘Comin’ in Cold’ is expected to drop in the coming weeks, with the track co-written by top-tier Nashville-based trio, Neil Medley, Jordan Rowe and Driver Williams. Earlier in the week, Bailey Zimmerman confirmed his eagerly anticipated sophomore album is officially finished, with an announcement seemingly imminent.
