Outlaw country artist Dallas Moore has announced a new album, set to be released 9 April; sharing the first single and title track ‘The Rain’, which will be available to download and stream from January 29.
Moore had over 300 shows booked in for 2020, but the pandemic thwarted his plans.
What it did give him was a chance to write - “I do most my writing when I’m riding my Harley Davidson or cutting grass… all of a sudden I found plenty of time to ride and write. I hadn’t written in nearly two years and all of a sudden 11 songs poured out in three weeks”, he says.
The album, which was recorded at Nashville’s OmniSound Studios with producer Dean, is not a quarantine concept album, but still has the honky-tonk swagger we’ve come to know and love from Dallas Moore.
The first single from the record ‘The Rain’ was the last track to be written. Moore said about the recording process, “These sessions were the most relaxed and enjoyable of my career”.
