Colter Wall appears to be teasing new music, his first taste of it since the release of his 2023 album, Little Songs.

In a short clip posted to his social media, the Canadian troubadour can be seen sitting solo on the bed of a trailer, plucking a guitar and singing lyrics to an unreleased song.

The unknown number seems to be in his usual fashion: a deep-bellied and unadorned display of country-Western. In the brief snippet, he sings of staunch values and staying far from the embellishments of Nashvillian ways.

"I don't know what you think you've been told / If I ever was for sale, I never sold / It's short on flashing lights and rhinestone clothes / 1800 miles from Music Row," the crooner lilts. "It's Tyson songs on the fiddle and guitar / And the pedal steel man drives a real mean bar / You won't hear it on your radio / It's 1800 miles from Music Row."

While we don't yet know the name of or have a release date for the tune, Wall has made it know that he's been up to something.

Just last week, he shared another teaser, posting a soundbite of a funked-up new song against a reel of various ranching duties. "Pretty pumped to share some new music with you guys," he captioned the post, adding, "Keep your ear to the ground!"

Well, it's safe to say our ears are glued there as we await more of what's to come from the unparalleled talent.
