Buckle up! Charles Wesley Godwin is taking fans to a Lonely Mountain Town with a new EP set to drop later this month.
The seven-track collection was born during a whirlwind of a year the 'Hardwood Floors' star experienced in 2024, having come fresh off the release of his acclaimed Family Ties album with a calendar brimming with festival outings, sold-out headline shows and stadium appearances alongside Luke Combs.
Amidst all that, the songs still flowed and they will soon be ours on Feb. 28.
"I’ve learned that I’m at my best when I’m writing and recording songs, so this time around, I was determined, no matter how much I was on the go, to keep pursuing that love of the song and creating," the artist shared on social media, adding, "The songs on Lonely Mountain Town are a result of that effort, and I’m excited to share them with you!"
A first taste of the forthcoming collection will drop on Friday (Feb. 7) in the form of 'It's the Little Things', a tune he showcased on the Grand Ole Opry stage late last year.
In the post, he also announced his now-road-worn artistry will be in good company on Lonely Mountain Town. Country sensation ERNEST and Scott Avett, a founding member of the longtime folk rock outfit The Avett Brothers, will also appear on the release.
Godwin shared, "I also had the opportunity to collaborate with some of my friends and heroes on these songs, which makes them all the more special. I hope they bring you comfort and joy in the same way they did for me in creating them."
Lonely Mountain Town is set to arrive in the middle of the artist's spring trek across North America, releasing just in time to echo through theatres and music halls throughout the country.
