Brooke Eden has released a video for her new single ‘Sunroof’.
Eden first got the idea for the song in the parking lot of a Mexican restaurant as she waited for her girlfriend to pick up their takeout.
Eden felt the sun beating down through the windows and opened the sunroof for the first time that year.
She co-wrote the song with Sarah Buxton and Jesse Frasure and has recruited her girlfriend, Hilary, to star in the video saying “It would have been impossible to tell the story without her as her presence has brought me so much sunshine and happiness”.
For a long time, Eden was encouraged to keep quiet about her relationship but says she is done staying quiet now; “We’re just a normal couple who is simply in love with each other.
Our LGBTQ+ community has been so underrepresented for too long, but Hil and I have felt so much support for our relationship in Nashville and beyond.
I hope to make people of all backgrounds and sexual orientations feel seen and safe in country music”.
