Post Malone and Morgan Wallen are Releasing ‘I Had Some Help’ on May 10th

Over the past few months, any social media post by either Post Malone or Morgan Wallen has been met with a torrent of pleading comments from fans, desperately begging for them to drop their long-teased viral collaboration ‘I Had Some Help’.

When Posty shared a second clip of the infectious track ahead of Stagecoach, and then emerged during Morgan's headlining set for a live debut of the song, it seemingly confirmed we were fast-approaching the moment ‘I Had Some Help’ is made available.

This week, Post Malone had been sharing further snippets and photos from his momentous ‘I Had Some Help’ performance with Morgan Wallen alongside a Pre-Save link, enabling listeners to sign up for new music alerts and hinting that he's gearing up to release the song. Additionally, the bearded crooner started a ‘Highlights’ series of ‘I Had Some Help’ teasers on his Instagram page, titled ‘Help’.

On May 2nd, Post Malone and Morgan Wallen excitingly confirmed via Instagram that ‘I Had Some Help’ would indeed be released the following week on May 10th, marking what appears to be the first single from Posty's forthcoming debut country album.

Before we got the official announcement, though, a California radio station leaked some key information about the ‘I Had Some Help’ roll-out shortly after Stagecoach's conclusion.

The KBAY Country Instagram page shared a video of the duo's festival performance, accompanied by the caption, ‘Post joined Morgan Wallen at stagecoach. Bay Country will have for you FIRST on May 8th’, promptly sending fans into a frenzy.

In the comments, a fan asked KBAY Country Radio for clarification, ‘you mean this song will be in your rotation on may 8th?’ to which the station replied, “oh ya!!! Can’t wait”.

Crucially, May 8th is the Wednesday before the song's now-confirmed streaming release date. It therefore seems ‘I Had Some Help’ will be exclusively circulated around some radio stations to add to the already-colossal hype ahead of May 10th.

Post Malone and Morgan Wallen and their respective teams have so far been conducting a PR masterclass with their ‘I Had Some Help’ rollout, with the uptempo song having exploded into one of the most hotly anticipated releases of the year.

Thankfully, our patience has now been rewarded. Although some fans were joking that we would never get ‘I Had Some Help’, Morgan Wallen and Post Malone's good buddy and collaborator, ERNEST, eased their fears with a playful comment on Posty's recent Instagram photo of the duo, ‘We’re gonna get this song before GTA 6’.

The name-checked video game has suffered a string of high-profile postponements, and has subsequently become a tongue-in-cheek reference point for other long-awaited releases. Unlike GTA 6, we'll be able to stream ‘I Had Some Help’ on May 10th, and once this blockbuster collaboration is out in the world, it's safe to say it'll be a leading candidate for 2024 Song of the Summer.
