After another phenomenal weekend of intimate showcases, the quick fan-favorite, Sleeping in the Woods Festival, is expected to make its return to Lake Cumberland, Kentucky in May 2025.
Originally a two-day program, the event expanded to an impressive three-day spread in 2024 as attendees were able to take in sets from more than 20 of the region's talented tunesmiths.
Among the most revered singer-songwriters on hand were Darrell Scott, Nicholas Jamerson and the Morning Jays, Brother Smith, Joe Clark, Zoe Howard, Ireland Owens, Melanie Davis, Elijah Boone, Cristina Vane, Leah Blevins, Rachel Baiman, Cody Lee Meece and Hunter Flynn, among others.

The inaugural Sleeping in the Woods festival was lauded by attendees, artists and critics alike, and we're certainly keeping our fingers crossed for a third installment in 2025.
The inaugural 2023 songwriting extravaganza was hosted by fast-emerging alt-country artist, Nicholas Jamerson, with a stellar array of performers taking the stage across the two-day event. Festival-goers were able to witness sets from the likes of Jim Lauderdale, Scott T. Smith, Brit Taylor, Jordan Allen, Emily Jamerson, Don Rogers, Bella White, Katie Toupin and Grayson Jenkins.
Proceeds from the event are directed towards Troublesome Creek Stringed Instruments Company, founded to help those who have previously struggled with substance abuse disorders with their recovery, through a variety of artistic projects.
