Rome River Jam held its first event in 2007 after its founder, Jay Shell, cleaned up Ridge Ferry Park while working for the Rome Department of Parks and Recreation. Seeing the potential for the park to host a concert, he took out a loan against his house to fund the first show which was headlined by alternative rock band, Sister Hazel.
Seamlessly blending together new faces and big hitters alike, the festival's stage has been graced by Jamey Johnson, Brantley Gilbert, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Darius Rucker, Blackberry Smoke, Old Dominion, Cole Swindell, Sam Hunt, Tracy Lawrence and several others.
2022 saw another successful roster of talent, featuring acts like Jelly Roll, Riley Green, Koe Wetzel, Kolby Cooper, Clay Walker, Priscilla Block, Hunter Chastain and Dalton Dover.
