The UK's rapidly burgeoning country and Americana fanbase will be glad to see Colby T. Helms returning, who garnered a host of new supporters during his first set in London during January's UK Americana Week. His listenership will no doubt be looking forward to hearing an array of highlights from his debut album, Tales of Misfortune.
The lauded project dropped earlier in the year, and has spawned popular tracks such as ‘Higher Ground’, ‘Mountain Brandy’, ‘Daddy's Pocket Knife’, ‘Smoke and Flames’ and more.
The Virginia singer-songwriter has received praise in recent months for his raw, rugged brand of storytelling, with Colby T. Helms regaling listeners with sinuous, enchanting tales inspired by Appalachia. His alt-country style has been likened to that of ‘All Your'n’ hitmaker, Tyler Childers, and given how beloved Childers is in the UK, we think it's safe to say Helms can look forward to a warm reception in February.
